U.S. stocks ended mixed after what turned out to be a busy week for capital markets.

The Federal Reserve (Fed) cut interest rates last September and, to date, the central bank has lowered rates by 1%.

Stocks built on last week’s gain as global markets digested the arrival of the new U.S. administration.
